TAMI's original owners named their new business located in Levittown, N. Y. after their newly born granddaughter about 35 years ago. Ever since then, TAMI has been synonymous with the tastiest and "most like mom's" potato pancakes in the food service industry. The addition of broccoli, zucchini, spinach and mixed vegetable patties to the TAMI line fills the demand for those that desire delicious vegetarian and vegan entree's , side dishes or snacks on their menu.
Restaurants, caterers, delicatessens and food service operators are some of our very important customers. As our products are manufactured strictly for the industry, the end user feels confident knowing that his pancakes are not for sale in a retail box.
After frying or baking off TAMI's potato pancakes or vegetarian patties, they will smell and taste as though they have been prepared from scratch. Schools, nursing homes and hospitals may prefer to bake the product rather than to fry it to limit their caloric intake. However, for a crispy pancake, we recommend basting our pancakes with oil before baking as there is no oil in our batter. Many alternate our different varieties on their weekly menus.
Some fast food operators now introduce our mixed veggie burger as a vegan choice as suggested by the American Medical Association. Broccoli, zucchini, and spinach burgers topped with marinara sauce and parmesan cheese make a quick and economical lunch served with rice or pasta.
Our TAMI's hors d'oeuvres are most delicious and are available in all five varieties in a ² and 1 oz. size. They are a welcome alternative to the typical breaded fare and provide the consumer with a sense of well-being by eating a healthful as well as tasty product.
All TAMI's products are available as griddled (heat 'n serve) or pre-fried options for your convenience. Griddled pancakes should be basted with oil before baking and pre-fried pancakes may be baked or prepared in a microwave. All TAMI's pancakes are certified kosher under strict O-U rabbinical supervision. We ship our products with frozen food carriers throughout the U.S.A. We can also enhance your business by "private labeling" any of our products to your specifications.
